I don’t know why, but ever since I watched that classic “Spaceballs” scene and the bit with Abbot and Costello, I’ve got to thinking of other fabulous bits of dialogue that always had me rolling over in laughter and awe at the nuance of wordage, rhetoric and wackiness. All those crazy writers! You got me good! So funny….

Seriously, though, I will reiterate what I said earlier about paying homage to good ol’ Abbott and Costello. I’m going to write a dialogue sketch, playing on as many words as I can possibly play on. It’ll hopefully be flawless. I hope.

Anyway, as I thought of other bits of dialogue, two films came to mind.

For reference, for those who have not seen the context, the pilots on board are ‘Roger’, ‘Clarence Oveur’, and ‘Victor’. You’ll understand why I’m giving you the names for this clip….
