(Pierre puts up a figurative dartboard on the wall and starts tossing darts)
Oh, hi, yeah, just sort of…well…venting. Yeah.
(Continues to throw some darts. Some of them without looking. Some of the darts crack from the sheer force)
We’re here at yet another update on my novel. Stats have changed. Yep.
I had three agents who were interested in the manuscript–one that has the full manuscript, another that has 100 pages, and the third that has 50 pages.
I received a response from the third, declining. *Pierre tosses another dart, only misses the board completely and breaks the window*.
Agent basically said her 50-page sample was intriguing, but she wasn’t immediately ‘absorbed’ in the story. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall righty.
Crap, I need more darts.
