The Wretched Writer’s Sadistically Imaginatory Dictionary of Super Words (3): The Clayton Edition

Published by roustan under English Stuff Edit This

It’s been a long time, babies, since I’ve written another edition to the infamous SIDSW (I’m just gonna call it that, because the title’s too damn long. I have problems). This edition is actually dedicated to a very cute little ‘muse’ of mine. She’s the kind of creature you’d want to pet on the head. And then she giggles. And smiles. And then twinkles. And then all of a sudden she sprouts these glittery wings, giggles some more and drifts off with her eyes twinkling like stars, little button nose and all. SO CUTE!!

Anyway, I got a little ahead of myself here. Allow me to explain. She has a sort of vocabulary. She has her own language. Which makes sense given her nature–a ‘muse’. She could very well be a fairy. Who knows. It’s possible. She is, after all, from Rockford. And Rockford, I heard, is essentially a paradise cut off from the rest of the Grand Rapids area.

I have claimed her as my muse for a specific, obvious reason. Her language. She has the most interesting, unique, odd words you would ever come across. I have two from her so far. I’ve added one of my own for good measure.

So without hesitation, I present to you three more editions to the Dictionary. Later, I’ll repost a complete compilation of each word from each post for reference. Use these new words well. For they are untouched. They are untamed. They are untainted. Be gentle with them. Be kind to them. Love them like children. Love them as yourself. Here are these three new words:

Lawlz -

My muse has used this word several times in chatting with her. I’ve always been intrigued by it. Needless to say, I found the urge to ask her what it means. It enlightened me. Essentially, the word is an inflected version of the new age digital term ‘LOL’. It perplexed me. For everyone knows that LOL means “Laugh Out Loud”. I can’t for the life of me figure out what the letters L.A.W.L.Z. mean. My best guess is that it means “Laughing At Words Like Zebras”. *Shrugs*

Yaysies -

This is a fun one describing a term generally used by extremely hyper, caffeinated girls, an affirmative term. It essentially means ‘yes’. Only because of their hyperactivity, the word gets stretched out to a ‘yeeeeeeeey’ sound followed by a ‘recharge’ of sorts ending with a quick ’s’ sound. Hence… YAAAAYSIES. It’s my belief, too, that this apparent hyperactivity and sudden squeaky giggle and oozing of large amounts of joy that the “ies” part of this particular word can be injected anywhere to describe this wonderful sort of elation that is exemplified in caffeinated young women. Such as– nosies, funsies, howsies? runsies! looksies! eatsies, excitingsies! Point made.

Fantastulastic -

This is a word of my own creation. It is the offspring of such fun words as ‘fantabulastic’ and ‘fantastulous’, both you’ll find on Google. Believe it or not. I took the hyperbole that is the mixing of two words…in the case of these previous two words, the words used as mixed are ‘fabulous’ and ‘fantastic’. For my own word, I used the three words ‘fantasy’, ‘fabulous’ and ‘fantastic’. I use the word to describe a sort of whimsy about something that is amazing. For example: I would exclaim FANTABULOUS after winning the lottery with a prize of $1 million. However, I would exclaim the word FANTASTULASTIC after winning the lottery with a prize of flight, x-ray vision, super strength, time travel, stretchy skin, indestructability, transfiguration and the ability to turn Kool-Aid into liquid gold. Make sense? I’ve injected a sort of world of fantasy into the kind of joy any normal human being would receive with something phenomenal and great.

To end this rather long definition: wouldn’t it be cool to turn Kool-Aid into liquid gold??

The Wretched Writer’s Bedtime Quote

I have birthed another ‘child’ on my blog and am pleased to offer you readers a goodnight kiss, so to speak, by ending a night with a quote directly from my deranged brain. Thought it would be kinda fun. This being the first, obviously I have this ‘introduction’. But further quotes will be simply that: quotes. No introduction. No writing. Just the quote. A goodnight kiss to you all. Consider it that. Here is the first quote ever on the Unforgivable Rantings. Taco Supreme, people. Taco Supreme.

“A man who fears nothing is a man who loves nothing, and if you love nothing, what joy is there in your life?”

Sean Connery - “First Knight”
