Ready for another character sketch? A long time in comin’. If you readers missed it, check out my first post of my MC Alexandra Glade. This is my second sketch.
His name is…
KYAN TANAKA

He’s a vampire hunter, formerly a deadly assassin-for-hire/mercenary. Born in Kumori Village, an ancient and isolated paradise, in the island of Hokkaido off the coast of Japan, he lived his life longing for power, filled with ambition. He turned his face away from his own family for that reason to pursue a life of fortune and fear, obsessed with death and the next kill, wanting, needing, hoping for fulfillment.
After meeting with a man known as Felix Delgado, a Cardinal of the Vatican and secret liaison to an organization christened the Berith Lochem, he came to know the truth of life and how important it was to serve for the righteous cause rather than himself. He began to follow Christ. Knowing many deadly arts, skilled in weaponry, a professional killer, he finally understood a way to use those dark gifts to serve the sake of God in the best way–fighting evil.
Comrade and best friend to Alexandra, he stands with her without fail…and with the best of faith on his side.

Believe it or not, I’m not even trying to be funny or creative with article titles here. My title means what it really means.
First off, I have to ask–how was everyone’s New Year’s?
(waits for the resounding cheer)
Awesome. That’s what I like to hear.
Now to explain what I mean by “Nipplelicious Lemonade”. No, I don’t mean some odd sexual innuendo or an obsession with strangely colored breastmilk. I would like for all you readers to direct your attention to this wonderful post written by fellow blogger and tweeter, a bubbly woman by the name of…. Nipplelicious (really, don’t ask, ’cause I haven’t–I thrill at the idea of someone akin to me in terms of the bizarre and downright funny).
So…*ahem*…’Nipsy’, as she seems to call herself on comments she leaves on many of my posts (again, don’t ask), literally–and I literally do mean literally–lifted me up so high with this most recent post of hers that my brand-new webcam actually looked like a little peppercorn (that is, of course, an exaggeration). She brightened my day. And I salute her.
Let me, however, direct this in 2nd person, now that I’m thinking about it–
I SALUTE YOU…NIPPLELICIOUS.
(I feel an odd sort of excitement in having the freedom to call you by such a name. I think).
You really did brighten my day. Actually, now night. ‘Cause it’s nighttime. So I guess you’ve…brightened my night. Which makes absolutely no sense. Unless taken figuratively!
It’s awards such as this, the Lemonade Award, that make it worthwhile, writing a blog. Actually, just plain writing. It’s a good feeling. I’ve literally been given recognition on someone else’s blog! How cool. I think it’s a first for me, actually. What a rush.
Sometimes that’s what writing is all about–being heard. It’s a form of communication, really. And I guess someone was listening.
Thank you for listening.
