A Goddess of Shadows Triumph
I’m so proud of her. She really has come a long way, you know?
I’m talking about you, L.B. Goddard, editor of the horror culture, creature-filled, beautiful calamity of utter genius, The Monsters Next Door. Probably one of the best horro e-zines out there right now. And Goddard is like the terminator, man. She just will not stop. Until we are dead (so says Kyle Reese to Sarah Connor: cue in the drumming “Terminator” bass line).
I’m writing this post to urge you, my readers, to vote on the P & E (huge) for “best e-zine editor” and/or “best fiction e-zine”. My good ol’ friend Lindsey Goddard (she’s such a cutie even though she’d drink my blood in seconds, seriously. We handcuff her regularly when she has cravings) has been nominated for both categories (EXTREMELY huge). I’m not kidding. She’s been…
NOMINATED!!!
I call that a triumph beyond triumphs. For those who don’t recognize the initials… “P & E”, it stands for “Preditors & Editors”, a very well-known literary site that is dedicated to a very thorough study and investigation of many literary organizations and companies (agents, agencies, publishing houses, magazines etc etc.). Goddard has been recognized. And rightly so.
I shall refer to her in second person now–as this post is a celebration of her hard work and dedication to the genre and to the art of writing as a whole– *ahem*
Lindsey, you are a true Goddess of Shadows, and I’m proud of you and your endeavors. It’s something of admiration to me. You inspire me. You keep me writing. You keep me hoping. You keep me loving the written word, either read or written by my hand.
So thank you. For everything.
And remember, guys….
VOTE!!!
