A Deadline to Death or Life
I can’t help but be personal here, as this is a rant like any other. Please bear with me. I promise soon I’ll be posting much more about writing and publishing and such.
This is serious.
A final eviction notice has been given. This Thursday at 1:00 PM, my roommate needs to vacate the premises. This means essentially that my other roommate and her two kids as well as myself need to leave as well.
I’ve held another apartment in another complex with me as a cosigner for my roommate with the two kids. We sign the lease that Thursday. Yes, that Thursday.
So I’m facing a deadline. It’s not a fun deadline. Actually, it’s a pretty serious deadline. Getting my roommate and her two kids in this apartment will decide many things. It will give a family of three a place to live. I will have to cough up a large amount of rent upon moving in, too, in order for it to happen. It’s crunch time.
The scary part is I haven’t heard back from my recruiter for the United States Navy, yet. I’m still waiting. I’m still praying. I’m still hoping.
More importantly, I promise you–I’m still writing. I’m still here.
Just keep reading.
