In My Father’s House, There Are Many Rooms

I reference Scripture to make a point here: when it comes to publishing, there are many ways to go about it. Lately, I’ve been hanging out in one “Room” at my “Father’s House”. We’ll call that the “Literary Agent Room”. Also known as the “traditional method” of breaking into the publishing industry.

I shall, however, update you on a new development (keep your fingers crossed), and that is I have now entered a new “Room”. And what a “Room” it is–

I’ve submitted THE CAIN LETTERS for the first time to an independent press, three chapters and synopsis along with the query.

Something to keep in mind: most publishers only accept work submitted by literary agents. Most publishers. But not all. That’s why it’s the “traditional method”. However, there are a few of those smaller publishing houses that accept unagented submissions, even encourage them.

I don’t want to jinx it, so I’m leaving the name of said publishing house, well…unsaid. But know that my manuscript THE CAIN LETTERS has now decided to explore My Father’s House. Hopefully the book will have a home in this new Room.
